OVER 75 YEARS IN BUSINE

1943 It was 1943; WWII was taking place as the rising pharmaceutical industry was being established in Mexico. The Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) was created with the mission of providing healthcare to Mexicans whose needs had already become a national priority. Given this background, Don Antonio López de Silanes Salinas, came up with the creation of a capital stock pharmaceutical laboratory that would answer to the growing demands of the population, so he founded "Laboratorios Silanes Corp." on November 4th, 1943.

Since its inception, Silanes Laboratories has recorded an accelerated growth through the sale and manufacture of vitamins and pain-relieving medication. However, it should be noted that, in 1957, a line of medication, which will grow considerably in the coming decades and which nowadays make up for one of the main company success stories, had its beginnings: antidiabetics.

At the beginning of the 21st century, Silanes opened its industrial plant in Toluca, which is currently undergoing a process of globalization, innovation and institutionalization hoping to continue growing in competitiveness and productivity. With over 74 years in business, today it is a sound company that has managed to evolve according to the QA and innovation requirements demanded nowadays. At the same time, it keeps a tradition of trust and commitment with the different stakeholders such as physicians, the health sector, collaborators, clients, associates, researchers, suppliers, authorities, etc. They seek to provide the world with better health solutions on a daily basis
